(Beijing, April 18) The Tianjin women's team overmatched Jiangsu 3-1 in the "Good Luck Beijing" 2008 China Club Volleyball Tournament at the Beijing Institute of Technology Gymnasium this afternoon.

Tianjin led 8-5 at the first technical timeout and won the opening set 25-15.

Jiangsu controlled the pace of the match in the second, leading 16-8 at the second technical timeout to win 25-17.

In the third set, Tianjin gradually regained its lead, keeping ahead from 16-12 to 25-18 for a 2-1 advantage on aggregate.

Tianjin erupted for a 5-0 run in the beginning of the last set, but Jiangsu overcame the lead at the first technical TO, 8-5. The two traded points and the score was close, from 15 all to 24-24. Tianjin didn't waste any chances again to carry the day 26-24.

After the preliminary round, Tianjin, together with Jiangsu and Bayi, finished in two wins and one loss. Bayi tops the group thanks to score difference with Tianjin and Jiangsu in second and third respectively.
